STD Basics, from May 1, 2011 April 30, 2012. This course, which is approved for a total of 6 NAPNAP contact hours, is a dynamic way for middle and high school health professionals to increase their knowledge of and competence teaching about sexually transmitted diseases. Using podcasts, threaded discussions, video, frequently asked questions from teens and interactive games, participants will engage in this six-hour workshop from the comfort of home or office. Sections include an STD overview, information about transmission, prevention, HIV/AIDS and valuable resources and lesson plans woven throughout.
